About me

Behind My Lens
My name is Brittni Hartman.  I am a 28 year old wife and mother of 2.  I grew up in the Marshall County area, I have lived in Elkhart County for 8 years now.

I spend most of my time taking care of my family, because of my amazing husband I am able to focus on my photography now that the kids are getting older.

I love spending time with family and friends. Being outside is one of my most favorite activities!  Nothing better than fresh air and a bonefire.

I started to love taking pictures of my family and friends at the age of 11 with disposable cameras. It seemed like I was always asking to go to the Wal-mart to get my pictures developed, that is a great memory.  In 2003 I had got my very first digital camera, a Kodak, for Christmas from my parents.  I thought I was the coolest cat in town!  Looking back at that camera it wasn't much but it lasted a few years and captured some pretty great memories.

Over the years I tested out many brands of digitals never really finding my favorite until 2012. My husband got me my first Nikon D3100, that became my pride and joy!  That camera opened several different new aspects to taking pictures for me.

I now shoot with a Nikon 5300.
I have only ever taken a one small photography class which was helpful, but everything I know and my skill set I have tought myself over the years.  I love shooting with natural light, outdoor shoots are my favorite.

My wonderful husband is in the process of helping me out with my indoor studio that will mostly be used for small kids and babies.

I especially love capturing the sweet  innocence of newborn baby and that takes a lot of time and patience. But it is very amazing capturing those new moments of their lives.

I love taking photos of all types as the website shows.  Capturing memories is something that has always been important to me and always will!  Moments in life flash by and the best way to remember is by a photo!
